This Privacy Policy explains how Tidy It ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. The App is a local photo cleanup, organization, and smart-search utility for iPhone. We built it to be privacy-first.

The short version: Your photos and videos never leave your device. We do not require an account, and we do not sell your data.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos or videos on our servers.
  • We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number to use the App.
  • We do not collect contacts, location history, or advertising identifiers.

2. Information Processed On Your Device

Photo cleanup and organization (finding duplicates, similar photos, burst shots, screenshots, large videos, month-by-month review, etc.) are performed entirely on your device. Image analysis and on-device text recognition (OCR) used to build the local search index also run on your device. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

3. Information Sent to Our Server (Smart Search)

Smart Search (labeled "Alpha") is the only feature that communicates with our server (cleaner.digsaw.cc). To interpret your query and improve matching, the App may send the following text-only data:

  • The search text you type or dictate.
  • Short text snippets and tags derived from your photos on your device — for example on-device generated tags and brief OCR text extracted from images — used to enrich the local search index.
  • A randomly generated device identifier used only to sign and rate-limit requests.
  • Technical data such as app version, build number, and language/locale.

Because text extracted from images (OCR) may contain personal information visible in your photos, please avoid using Smart Search on highly sensitive images if you are not comfortable with this text being processed to power search.

4. Third-Party Processing

To understand natural-language queries and enrich tags, the text described in Section 3 is processed by a third-party large language model provider (DeepSeek). Only text is shared with this provider — never your photos or videos. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy terms.

5. Server Logs & Retention

Our server keeps operational logs (including the text data described in Section 3) for debugging, abuse prevention, and quality improvement. Logs are rotated and automatically deleted on a rolling basis. We do not use this data to build advertising or marketing profiles.

6. Permissions We Request

  • Photo Library: to analyze, review, and organize your photos and videos for cleanup.
  • Add to Photo Library: only when saving results you approve back to your library.
  • Microphone: only for voice input when you search by voice.
  • Speech Recognition: only to convert your voice into search text.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data Security

Data transmitted to our server is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Because the App processes photos locally, most of your sensitive content never leaves your device.

9. Your Rights

Since Smart Search is anonymous and tied only to a random device identifier, we are generally unable to associate stored logs with a specific person. You can stop all server communication at any time by not using Smart Search. You may also uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above.

2. 在设备端处理的信息

相册清理与整理（识别重复、相似照片、连拍、截图、大视频、按月整理等）完全在你的设备上完成。 用于构建本地搜索索引的图像分析与端侧文字识别（OCR）也在设备端运行。 这些信息保留在你的设备上，不会发送给我们。

3. 会发送到我们服务器的信息（智能搜索）

智能搜索（标注为“Alpha”）是唯一会与我们服务器（cleaner.digsaw.cc）通信的功能。 为了理解你的搜索意图并提升匹配效果，本应用可能发送以下仅文本数据：

  • 你输入或语音输入的搜索文本。
  • 从你设备照片中派生出的少量文本片段与标签——例如端侧生成的标签、从图片中提取的简短 OCR 文本——用于丰富本地搜索索引。
  • 随机生成的设备标识符，仅用于对请求进行签名与限流。
  • 应用版本、构建号、语言/地区等技术信息。

由于从图片中提取的文本（OCR）可能包含照片中可见的个人信息，如果你不希望这些文本被用于智能搜索处理，请避免对高度敏感的图片使用智能搜索。

4. 第三方处理

为了理解自然语言查询并扩写标签，第 3 节所述的文本会交由第三方大语言模型服务商 （DeepSeek）处理。仅有文本会共享给该服务商，绝不包含你的照片或视频。 其数据处理受其自身隐私条款约束。

5. 服务器日志与保留期

我们的服务器会保存运行日志（包含第 3 节所述文本数据），用于排障、防滥用与质量优化。 日志会滚动轮转并自动删除。我们不会将这些数据用于广告或营销画像。

6. 我们申请的权限

  • 相册（照片库）：用于分析、查看和整理你的照片与视频以进行清理。
  • 添加到相册：仅在将你确认的结果保存回相册时使用。
  • 麦克风：仅在你使用语音搜索时用于语音输入。
  • 语音识别：仅用于将你的语音转换为搜索文本。

7. 儿童隐私

本应用并非面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们也不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。

8. 数据安全

传输到我们服务器的数据通过 HTTPS（TLS）加密。由于本应用在本地处理照片，你的大部分敏感内容始终不会离开设备。

9. 你的权利

由于智能搜索是匿名的，仅与随机设备标识符关联，我们通常无法将存储的日志与具体个人对应。 你可以随时通过不使用智能搜索来停止所有服务器通信；也可以卸载本应用以清除所有本地存储的数据。

10. 政策变更

我们可能会不时更新本隐私政策。重大变更将通过更新上方“生效日期”予以体现。
